Risk Register

An overall risk register is produced to cover the Council's activities which is reviewed annually. Risk assessments for individual areas or activities are also produced.

The Risk Register for Weston on the Green Parish Council was approved at 7th January 2026 Parish Council meeting.

A Risk Register is an important part of a parish council’s governance arrangements. It provides an overview of the risks that could affect the Council, its finances, its assets, its services and its responsibilities to the community. It records how these risks are managed, what controls are in place and whether further action is needed.

The Risk Register provides an overall picture of risk across the parish council, but it does not replace detailed assessments of particular activities, sites or facilities.
Separate risk assessments allow the Council to examine specific hazards in greater depth, identify who could be affected and establish practical measures to reduce the likelihood of harm for example the playground and playing field or for events such as litter picking.
