The Oxfordshire Residents Support Scheme provides short-term financial support for essentials like food and energy for those facing financial hardship.

Published: 1 January 2025

The Oxfordshire Residents Support Scheme aims to support those facing financial hardship, offering short-term financial support for essentials like food and credit for gas/electric prepayment meters.

It can also assist with white goods, furniture, and clothing in certain situations. In most instances, cash will not be awarded, but either an appropriate voucher will be provided, or the item itself will be delivered.

The scheme will also signpost residents to other sources of support that are available to ensure that they can get the maximum level of help.

Vulnerable groups will be prioritised for support which includes families with young children, people with long-term illness, mental health needs or disabilities, older people, pregnant residents or people at risk of domestic abuse.
