We have a number of wonderful volunteers in our village. There are some village wide tasks that we normally do over the summer but this year the heat waves deterred us. We decided to choose October as the month to commit to tasks large and small. We’d like to engage all those who often volunteer but also those new to the village plus others who have lived here for a few years but not had a chance to volunteer. Village workdays can fall on days with other key commitments. So, over the thirty-one days of October, all households should find some way to contribute to the community.
