Temporary Road Closure and “No Waiting” restriction at Bletchingdon / Weston on the Green, Weston Road through to Church Road

In the interests of public safety, it will be necessary for Oxfordshire County Council to close the road and impose a ‘No Waiting’ restriction as detailed above to facilitate pre-surfacing dressing works.

A temporary Notice is being made to implement the temporary closure and will operate on 05 December 2025 up to and including 09 December 2025. This will operate between 07:30 and 16:30.

A Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice is being made to implement the temporary closure and restriction and will operate on the days shown above.

Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and for those frontages within the closure area, subject to the progress of the works and liaison with the works supervisor.

The road has been scheduled for a surface dressing scheme, the work that is due to be carried out shortly will be the pre-patching for this. This will focus on restoring the worst areas where there are structural issues and will be followed up by surface dressing next financial year.

Please note the village shop and Village Hall will be accessible during this period of work.
